This notice explains how GLAD Practitioners, a community by ASEAN People Development, uses information submitted through this website.
Last updated: 4 October 2026.
What we collect and why
Membership applications contain your name, email, organisation, role, practitioner type and preferred channels. We ask for a WhatsApp number only if you choose that channel. An optional challenge helps us understand your needs. Contributor enquiries and private cases contain the details you choose to submit.
We use this information to review requests, administer the community and respond to you. Application consent does not subscribe you to unrelated marketing or authorise contact from training providers.
How information is stored
Submissions are stored on our hosting server and are available only to authorised organisers through restricted access. Technical access logs may contain your IP address and browser information for security and troubleshooting. Please do not submit sensitive employee, client or confidential business records.
Sharing and community platforms
We do not sell member contact details. Provider introductions require your permission. When you follow links to WhatsApp, Facebook or LinkedIn, their own privacy policies apply. Your phone number may be visible to other WhatsApp group participants.
Event registrations
You can register through Eventbrite or through the form on this website. The event page loads Eventbrite’s checkout widget; Eventbrite may receive technical information and handle cookies under its own privacy policy. Registrations completed through Eventbrite are managed there and are not automatically copied into this website’s attendee list. The website registration form requires your name, email, organisation and job title. You may optionally provide a WhatsApp number so the organiser can contact you about this event. We use these details to administer attendance and contact you about the event, including changes or cancellation. They are visible only to authorised organisers, are not a public attendee list and do not subscribe you to marketing. For registrations through the website form, confirmation appears on screen and no automatic email is sent. Eventbrite handles confirmations for its own registrations. To correct or cancel a registration, contact the organiser with your reference.
Anonymous discussions
Discussion forms ask for your response and publication choices, without a name, email or account. Responses are private until an organiser reviews them. Published responses are visible to anyone and labelled “Anonymous practitioner”. Technical access logs may still record IP addresses; we do not store IP addresses in discussion entries.
Your private review link lets you approve proposed edits, change permission for sharing in GLAD’s social groups, or withdraw your response. We store a hash of the link’s secret, the submitted and approved text, consent choices and review dates. Keep the link private and save it: there are no email notifications or account-based recovery. Organisers cannot publish proposed edits until you approve their exact text.
Website publication does not grant permission for GLAD to repost in WhatsApp, Facebook or LinkedIn. That requires your separate opt-in for the approved text. Other uses require separate permission. Please do not copy other members’ responses elsewhere without their approval. Withdrawal removes the text from this website and the active discussion record; technical backups or copies already shared elsewhere may remain. It does not recall those copies.
Anonymous cases
Cases are submitted privately. An organiser will remove identifying details and seek your approval of the edited version before sharing, within the sharing limit you select. Anonymisation can be difficult when circumstances are distinctive, so remove unnecessary details before submitting.
Retention and your choices
We keep submissions while needed to review your request and administer your participation. You can ask us to correct or delete your information, withdraw your request, or stop further contact by emailing the organiser. We review deletion requests against any records we are required to retain.
Cookies
The GLAD website itself does not use analytics or advertising cookies. The Eventbrite checkout on the event page is a third-party service with its own cookie and privacy policies. A necessary session cookie is used only when an organiser signs in to the private review area.
