Global Learning And Development (GLAD) Practitioners is a community by ASEAN People Development, starting in Malaysia. Our purpose is to help in-house practitioners learn together, build relationships and become more confident in their work.
Learning is the starting point.
Many practitioners entered L&D through another role. GLAD makes room for beginners and experienced peers to compare approaches, ask questions and learn from expert contributions. Free membership includes HR professionals and managers responsible for learning.
Conversations happen mainly in WhatsApp, Facebook and LinkedIn. This website supports community discovery, resources, anonymous discussions and events.
Your organiser: Soo Hoo.
Soo Hoo organises the GLAD community. His professional work focuses on helping leaders improve workplace alignment, clarify ownership, practise conversations and follow through on decisions.
Read his professional background at soohoo.asia. For GLAD enquiries, email me@soohoo.asia or contact him on WhatsApp.
Commercial relationships, explained.
Soo Hoo also offers professional training and development services. Free GLAD membership does not require buying those services or a provider’s programmes. Trainers and training providers participate through approved contributor or partner arrangements, which may have subscription or commercial terms.
Recommendations should serve members’ needs. Sponsorships and referral relationships must be disclosed, and member details are not shared with providers without permission.
How our resources are prepared.
GLAD editorial is the publishing byline for our introductory guides. The guides offer practical suggestions, with AI assistance in drafting and editing. They are not official circulars or a claim that an individual expert has reviewed every article.
Source links and the date they were checked accompany local scheme information. Follow the current original source for official requirements. A named expert review will be credited on the relevant article when it has taken place.
Illustrative exercises are labelled as examples. Member cases require identifying details to be removed and the contributor’s approval of the edited wording and each sharing channel before publication.
For a correction, email me@soohoo.asia with the page link and the information that needs checking.
